   * ನಮ್ಮ ಮುದ್ದಿನ ಪುಟ್ಟಿ*  ನಮ್ಮ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಮ್ಮ  ಮುಂಜಾನೆ ಎದ್ದಿತ್ತು  ಪುಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಿ  ಹಲ್ಲುಜ್ಜಲು ಹೇಳಿತ್ತು ಎದ್ದು ಹಲ್ಲು ಉಜ್ಜಿದ ಪುಟ್ಟಿಗೆ  ಕಾಫಿ ಬ್ರೆಡ್ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿತ್ತು ಪುಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಅಮ್ಮನ ಶಾಲೆಗೆ  ರೆಡಿ ಆಗಲು ಹೇಳಿತ್ತು ಊಟದ ಬಾಕ್ಸು ಪುಸ್ತಕದ  ಬ್ಯಾಗು ಹೆಗಲಿಗೆ ಹಾಕಿತ್ತು  ಬ್ಯಾಗು ಹಿಡಿದ ಪುಟ್ಟಿಯು   ಶಾಲೆಯ ಬಸ್ಸನು ಏರಿತ್ತು ಟೀಚರ್ ಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪುಟ್ಟಿಗೆ  ಪಾಠ ಮಾಡಿತ್ತು ಪಾಠವ ಮುಗಿಸಿ ಪುಟ್ಟಿ  ಮನೆಗೆ ಬಂದಿತ್ತು  ಮನೆಗೆ ಬಂದ ಪುಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಅಮ್ಮ  ಊಟಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆದಿತ್ತು  ಹೊಲೆಯ ಅಂಚಿನ ಮೇಲೆ  ಕೆಂಪನೆ ಕಾವಲಿ ಕಾದಿತ್ತು  ಹಿಟ್ಟನ್ನು ಮಿದ್ದು ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯ  ತಟ್ಟಿ ಬೇಯಿಸಿತ್ತು ಬಿಸಿ ಬಿಸಿ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಚಟ್ನಿ,  ಬೆಣ್ಣೆಯ ಸವರಿತ್ತು  ಇದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದ ಪುಟ್ಟಿಗೆ  ಬಾಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೀರು ಬಂದಿತ್ತು  ರೊಟ್ಟಿ ತಿಂದ ಪುಟ್ಟಿಗೆ  ತುಂಬಾ ಖುಷಿಯಾಗಿತ್ತು  ಪುಟ್ಟಿಯು ಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಳಿದ  ಹೋಂವರ್ಕ್ ಮುಗಿಸೀತ್ತು  ಅಮ್ಮ ಕರೆದು ಪುಟ್ಟಿಯ ತೊಡೆಯ  ಮೇಲೆ ಮಲಗಿಸಿ ಕೊಂಡಿತ್ತು ಪುಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಅಮ್ಮರಾಮಾಯಣದ   ಕಥೆಯ ಹೇಳಿತ್ತು ಇದನ್ನು ಕೇಳುತ್ತ ನಮ್ಮ  ಪುಟ್ಟಿಯು ನಿದ್ದೆಗೆ ಜಾರಿತ್ತು **********ರಚನೆ*********  ಡಾ. ಚ...

  This book’s writing was absorbing, a journey from my student days to my teaching career. As a science student, writing poems, regardless of language, seems irrelevant to my profession, even though these poems emerged in my thoughts, found their words, and took shape on paper. From 5th standard to BSc 2nd year, English was a subject I studied, encompassing poems, dramas, stories, and grammar. Reading and writing in English was essential. After BSc, English was absent from my coursework, and I, a BSc graduate, pursued MSc in chemistry. From 8th standard through MSc, I studied in English-medium. Initially, I resisted the subject, finding it challenging as English is not my mother tongue, which is Kannada. To improve, I began watching English movies and listening to English pop music, actively trying to learn the language.   ದಾರಿ ಕಾಣದ ಕಾಡಲ್ಲಿ ಗಿಡದಿ  ಹೂವು ಒಂದು ಅರಳಿದೆ  ಕಣ್ಣ ನೀರು ಹೊತ್ತು  ಗಿಡವು ದಾರಿಯಲಿ ಕುಸಿದು ಬಿದ್ದಿದೆ ಮಳೆಯೂ ಗುಡುಗಿ ಬಂದು  ಗಿಡಕ್ಕೆ ನೀರನ್ನು ಕುಡಿಸಿದೆ  ಬೆನ್ನು ಮುರಿದ ಗಿಡವು ಮತ್ತೆ ಎದ್ದು ನಿಂತಿದೆ  ಮೂರು ಪದದಲಿ ಬೆರತ ಕವನ  ಕಥೆಯ ಒಮ್ಮೆ ಹೇಳಿದೆ  ಗಿಡದ ವ್ಯಥೆಯ ಮೆಲುಕು ಹಾಕಿ  ಕಾಲ ಉತ್ತರ ಹೇಳಿದೆ  ಕವಿಗೆ ನಿಲುಕದ ಪದಗಳ  ಹೂವು ಕವನದಿ ಅರಳಿದೆ  ಜೀವಕ್ಕೆ ನೀರು ಕೊಟ್ಟ  ಮೋಡಕ್ಕೆ ಕೈಯ ಮುಗಿದಿದೆ  ಹನಿಯ ನೀರು ಕಲೆತ ಹೂವು  ಬಾಡದೆ ನಗುತಾ ನಿಂತಿದೆ  ಕಣ್ಣ ನೋಟ ಹೂವ ನೋಡಿ  ಮನಸ್ಸು ಏಕೋ ಮಿಡಿದಿದೆ

  ಎದೆಯ ಒಳಗೆ ಬೆಂಕಿ ಹತ್ತಿದೆ  ವಿಷದ ಜ್ವಾಲೆಯು ಸುಡುತ್ತಿದೆ  ಮಳೆಯ ನೀರು, ಮೈಯಿಗೆ ಬಿದ್ದರೆ  ಕಣ್ಣ ನೀರು ನಿಂತು ಬಿಡುವುದೇ ಹರಿವ ನದಿಯು ಕಟ್ಟೇ ಹೊಡೆದು  ಹಸಿರು ಪೈರಿನ ಬಸಿರ ತೆಗೆವುದೇ  ಯಾರು ಬಲ್ಲರೂ ವಿಧಿಯಾಟ  ಮೂರು ದಿನದ ಈ ಬದುಕ ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ  ವಿಷದ ಕಿಡಿಯಲಿ ಬೆಂಕಿ ಉರಿದಿದೆ  ದ್ವೇಷವೆಕೋ ನೆತ್ತರು ಬೇಡಿದೆ ಮೂರು ದಿನದ ಈ ಬದುಕಲಿ ಯಾರಿಗಿಲ್ಲ ಯಾರು ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾರು ಹೆತ್ತರು ಎಷ್ಟು ಅತ್ತರು ಬಾಳಲಿ  ಮೂರಡಿ ಆರಡಿ ಗುಂಡಿ ಸಿಗುವುದು ಇಲ್ಲಿ  ಮನುಜ ನಿನ್ನ ಅಟ್ಟಹಾಸಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊನೆಯೆಲ್ಲಿ  ದೈವ ಏಕೋ ನೋಡಿ ನಗುತಿಹನು ಕೊನೆಯಲಿ  ************ರಚನೆ*************   ಡಾ. ಚಂದ್ರಶೇಖರ್ ಚನ್ನಾಪುರ ಹಾಲಪ್ಪ
